Moto G 2015 Launched In $187 8GB, $203 16GB Variants

Motorola has finally taken the wraps of the much awaited Moto G (2015) smartphone at the launch event held on July 28, Tuesday.

The third generation Moto G debuts in two different variants of 8GB and 16GB memory, with a price tag of around $187 and $203 respectively, GSM Arena reported.

The key difference, apart from memory, in both the versions of Moto G is the RAM, as the 8GB variant comes with just 1GB RAM, while the 16GB version sports 2GB RAM.

The Moto G 2015 smartphone features a 5-inch 720p display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while measuring 142.1 x 72.4 x 11.6mm. The thickness goes down to 6.1mm towards to edges. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, First Post reported.

The USP of the two Moto G devices is the IPx7 certification, which means the new devices are dust and water resistant, making it capable of being immersed in up to 3 feet of water for nearly 30 minutes.

In terms of camera, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED dual-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. Most Popular Motorola features like Quick Capture, Moto Display, Chop Twice have also made their way to the devices.

Moto G third generation device houses a powerful 2,470mAh, compared to the 2,070mAh of the predecessor, resulting in long battery life. The device comes with dual SIM configuration and packs support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The highly anticipated Moto G 2015 smartphone is available in black and white color variants, with a range of colorful snap on covers from Motorola to complete the package.
