Tim Tebow has been impressing the Philadelphia Eagles since he joined the team in April. And while haters will continue to hate and question his capability as a quarterback, an Eagles veteran believes he will be returning to the NFL this upcoming season.
In a recent interview, Eagles outside linebacker Brandon Graham revealed that Tebow has been showing up in practice and impressing the team. He added that the quarterback is ready to return to the NFL in the 2015-16 season.
"Tim Tebow is going to shock a lot of people, because he is going to make the team," Graham told Lauren Beasley of Hot 107.5 in a Youtube video. "I think he will play a lot," he added.
According to NBC Sports, it isn't clear if the impressive performance of Tebow comes from the new two-point conversion rule or if he was placed in a different position.
"Tebow nevertheless once took the Broncos to the divisional round of the playoffs, which should count for something. Whether that translates to a meaningful role for the Eagles in 2015 remains to be seen," the site noted.
Graham, however, is not the only Eagles player who has been commending Tebow's performance so far. Running back DeMarco Murray recently shared that the former Heisman Trophy winner is a "good player."
"[Tebow is] a very hardworking guy. He comes to work everyday ready to compete and that's what you can expect from him," Marco USA Today.
The Philadelphia Eagles training camp is scheduled to start this weekend. Until then, it will be too early to say if Tebow will really be making the team. But for his fans, the praises from the vets are a good sign that Tebow is on the right track.
