"Dancing with the Stars" pro Witney Carson opened up about her relationship with Chris Soules and her "surreal" Emmy nomination.

In an interview with People, the 21-year-old dancer revealed that she developed a "great friendship" with "The Bachelor" season 19 alum. She added that they still stayed in touch even after the show.

It has long been rumored that Carson was the reason behind Soules and his fiancé Whitney Bischoff's split. Because of their closeness and undeniable chemistry on the dance floor, many speculated that Carson and Soules had a relationship behind Bischoff's back.

When the dancer found out that Soules and Bischoff decided to end their relationship, she shared that she got in touch with her former partner. Carson revealed that Soules was naturally upset about the break up, but he has since moved on and is now doing well.

Carson recalled that she had a lot of fun working with Soules in "DWTS." She described Soules as a "huge goofball" who loved to joke around with everyone on the set. She added that he was very hardworking and a real gentleman.

Meanwhile, according to Huffington Post, Carson received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Choreography for her routines "369," "It's Not Unusual" and "Sing with a Swing-Apache," which she performed with Alfonso Ribeiro on season 20.

Carson shared that she still could not believe that she received a nomination, alongside some of her idols Derek and Julianne Hough, Sonya Tayeh, Travis Wall and Spencer Liff. She added that she felt blessed and grateful just to be noticed.
