Users who are interested to give this preview version a test drive can download the factory image file from Google's official repository. After using it, they can report back their feedback and experience, according to GSM Arena. It will only work in those devices which are currently running on the original version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Android SDK tool and Google USB drivers can prove to be really helpful in making the process easy. The Android preview version needs to be extracted from the factory images when the device is in the Boot Loader Mode.

After it is completed, run the "flash-all.bat" script, which will trigger the installation to begin. As, this is a factory image, so it will wipe out all the data which is stored in the phone.

For those users who are already using the first Android M developer's preview, they will receive the over the air upgrade very soon.
