The first trailer of the Ben Stiller starrer "Zoolander 2" has been released.

Comedian Ben Stiller will star and is currently directing the sequel of the 2001 "Zoolander" movie, which is set to be released in early 2016.

After 14 years since the release of the first movie "Zoolander," Stiller is back as Derek Zoolander, a sometimes slow and dim-witted, all-around, amiable and good-looking high-fashion model that is brainwashed into killing the Malaysian Prime Minister.

Aside from starring in, directing and producing the sequel, Stiller also collaborated with Justin Theroux of "Tropic Thunder" in writing the script.

The recently released first trailer shows an imagery of space and how it possibly came to be, while transitioning to the development of the human brain and the potential of the human race. It features Zoolander asking, "If there is a god, why are there ugly people?"

The trailer is accompanied by a computer generated voiceover that is reminiscent of physicist Stephen Hawking, asking existential questions about the universe. The computer generated voice introduces the title of the upcoming movie, while arguing with Zoolander.

Stiller revealed that majority of "Zoolander 2" is set in Europe and the sequel's story revolves around Derek and Hansel (Owen Wilson), which transpired 10 years after the events of the first Zoolander movie, according to Coming Soon.

The first movie, which was released on Sept. 28, 2001, had a successful turn grossing over 95 million dollars with 28 million dollar budget. Though it failed to impress critics, many of the masses found it a success.

While the first movie starred A-list actors, such as Will Ferell and Jerry Stiller, the sequel will bring in some big names into play such Penelope Cruz, Willie Nelson and Justin Bieber, according to Cnet.
