Deadpool advises fans to prepare to blow out their sphincters in his film's official trailer for a trailer.
Ryan Reynolds has confirmed the highly anticipated release of his Merc with the Mouth film trailer in a short video posted on the film's official Facebook account. As per Entertainment Weekly, this approach has become a common trend in Hollywood films.
Running in 53 seconds, the clip starts off with a line, saying that one must stand alone against the dark forces in a world alienated by fear, while revealing the titular superhero. Deadpool also teased fans to get their stomach ready for the upcoming film.
The clip was used by 20th Century Fox to unveil the "Deadpool" section of the San Diego Comic-Con panel and introduce the cast, as per Cinema Blend. Similar notable elements were Deadpool sitting on the chair and talking to the audience while charging "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" for keeping his mouth shut.
With an R-Rating, "Deadpool" features the origin story of Wade Wilson, a former member of the Special Forces who became a mercenary. Wilson was subjected to an experiment that gave him the fast regenerative abilities, which led him to embrace his new identity as Deadpool. Equipped with new powers, the anti-hero is looking for the person who almost put an end to his life.
Along with Reynolds, "Deadpool" also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Ed Skrein, and T.J. Miller, among others. The film serves as one of Marvel's bullet films in its Phase Three.
Directed by Tim Miller, "Deadpool" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Feb. 12, 2016.
