Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for Comedy Central, "South Park" is the third longest-running animated series in the United States behind "Arthur" and "The Simpsons."

The Comedy Central adult animated series "South Park" season 19 premiere date is on Sept. 16 and not Sept. 23, as previously rumored.

"ALL-NEW EPISODES of #SouthPark return on Wednesday, September 16th!" "South Park" tweeted on July 26.

Since "South Park" season 17 premiered on Sept. 25, 2013 and "South Park" season 18 premiered on Sept. 24, 2014, some of the fans of the Comedy Central adult animated sitcom previously assumed the premiere dates pattern indicates that the "South Park" season 19 premiere date is on Sept. 23.

"South Park" season 19 will pick up where season 18 episode 10 titled "#HappyHolograms" left off. In the previous season finale, the holograms were still at large while Kyle collaborated with network bosses to make a Christmas special to bring the family together.

The adult animated series created by Parker and Stone was nominated for the outstanding animated program category of the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards along with "Archer," "The Simpsons," "Bob's Burgers" and "Over The Garden Wall."

The Emmy nomination was for "South Park" season 18 episode 6 titled "Freemium Isn't Free," which aired on Nov. 5, 2014. The episode can be viewed on South Park Studios.

Meanwhile, "The Book Of Mormon" musical by Stone, Parker and Robert Lopez, the Oscar winning co-writer of "Let It Go," is set to return to Baltimore, Md., on Nov. 3-15 at The Hippodrome Theatre for a limited engagement. Single tickets will go on sale on Aug. 9, Sunday, according to Broadway World.

In 2014, "The Book Of Mormon" musical played a record-breaking two-week run. The religious satire musical is about two young Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda in a remote village, where a ruthless warlord is putting the local population in danger.
