Arrow is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg.

After its highly rated season 3 finale, "Arrow" is now preparing for another big comeback with major surprises and cast addition. It was announced at the Comic-con that a new mayor and villains Anarky (Alexander Calvert), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) will be added.

Jeri Ryan, best known for her daring role as Borg in "Star Trek," is also given a guest role in the series, TVLine reported. Her role as Jessica will revolve around political ambitions as she seeks to become Starling City's new mayor. Ryan had appeared in "Arrow" season 3 episode 2.

Ryan Robins from "Falling Skies" is also included in the new list of cast members of "Arrow," according to Variety. He will play a recurring role of a vicious and sadistic member of Shadowspire where he will fight its leader, Baron Blitzkrieg, played by British actor Jimmy Akingbola.

Akingbola will come back in the series as Oliver's adversary. He will also appear in the upcoming season's flashback scenarios. In the comics version, Baron Blitzkrieg is Shadowspire's leader.

The main antagonist for this upcoming season of "Arrow" will be Damien Darhk, a cold-hearted, inhumane character. The ferocious villain is a major role, according to McDonough.

"Arrow" is based on the character of Green Arrow in the DC Comics. The hero, created by George Papp and Mort Weisinger, is a costumed crime fighter. Written and developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg, "Arrow" first aired in October 2012 and has 3,000,000 estimated viewers.

"Arrow" will return on The CW starting Oct. 7, 8 p.m. ET/PT.
