Sony Xperia C5 Ultra & Xperia M5 News: 13-Megapixel Front Camera Featured

Sony, as expected, launched the Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 camera-focused smartphones on Monday.

As a way of competing effectively in the smartphone industry, Sony has decided to update its front camera for both Xperia C5 and Xperia M5.

The update on the two latest smartphones from Sony is meant to woo selfie fans. Revealed on Aug. 3, the Xperia C5 and Xperia M5 both have 13-megapixel cameras on the front and back of the phone, CNet reported.

The change in the front camera of Sony smartphones is exceptional because most companies reserve the better cameras for the back since people conventionally take photos of what is around them. The current craze to take selfies by clients apparently convinced Sony to embrace a hefty camera on the front.

According to Broadband Choices, apart from the 13MB front camera on the Xperia C5, the phone packs a full-HD 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The phone includes a 2GB RAM, runs on 1.7 GHz 8-core processor, 4G network, aluminum frame, and a long lasting battery.

On the other hand, Xperia M5 is equipped with a 13MP front camera and a 21.5MP rare camera that gives a five times clear photo zoom component. Furthermore, the smartphone is outfitted with a 5-inch full-HD screen with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution, 2 GHz Media Tek Helio X10 8-core processor, a 2600mAh battery that lasts up to two days, and a 3GB RAM.

The company is relying on the extraordinary camera and selfie inclinations to establish buzz for the new phones. Another feature on the C5 Ultra is the company's Exmor RS sensor that has high-speed autofocus and the capability to capture motion objects. The phone as well includes a 22mm wide-angle lens that serves to squeeze further into the photo and a "selfie flash" to brighten up the images when taken in the dark.

The Xperia M5 came comes with unified autofocus and full-HD video recording. The smartphone's Mobile Bravia Engine 2 provides enhanced contrast and sharpness components.

The two phones have an expandable memory of up to 200GB through an SD card. Rumors indicate that the smartphones will hit different markets globally from mid-August.
