"Elder Scrolls 6" will be based on Skyrim and not on Morrowind as the new game will be set in Summer Set Isles.
Pine Hine, the company which handles the PR for game developer Bethesda, recently confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is under development. It is also rumored that the game may be set in "Summer Set Isles."
If it is indeed set in "Summer Set Isles," then it will be full of summery landscapes and a lot of sunshine, which will make the game all the more alluring. The game is also being referred to as "Skyrim 2," making it very obvious that the game will not be based on Oblivion and/or Morrowind.
One of the spokesperson for Pine Hine recently revealed in an interview with Telegraph that there is still a debate for the location of the game. The choices are oscillating between "Elsweyr," "Summer Set Isles" and "Valenwood". He further said that there is a debate for the official title of the game as well. The choice are between "Argonia" and "Red Guard" or what it is being called these days, "Skyrim 2."
Bethesda has not released a single player game since a long time now. Players are continuously requesting the developers through social media, to make this game with the multi player mode. However, it seems highly unlikely that Bethesda will do so, as it is keen on releasing a single player game after a long gap.
There is no release date set yet for "Elder Scrolls 6" to hit the market, but if the spokesperson from Pine Hine is to be believed, the game could get a possible release date in 2017. Also, there is still no news about the platforms for which the game will be released.
In related news, Bethesda announced that it will be releasing an "Elder Scrolls Legend Card Game" towards the year-end, according to IGN.
