There is a strong chance for a sequel of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and it could be all about Lara Croft getting stronger to lend more weight to the trilogy.
Dark Horse has released the cover of the new comic, according to IGN.
The previous game play of the "Tomb Raider" series was a bit disappointing because Croft did not showcase much action. Also, the theme of the game, the "tomb raiding" was totally missing from the game.
However, this latest gameplay will not disappoint the gamers, as revealed at the GamesCom 2015, which was recently held in Germany, according to Gamespot. The latest game play also pays a lot of emphasis on breaking through the underground boneyards.
The game starts in Syria where Croft's father's voice recordings are revealed to guide her towards a great treasure, which is yet to be discovered. It was shown at the E3 event that Croft will be fending off enemies in Syria, so this seems like a fit continuation of the same.
Some lucky gamers got a chance to play this demo version of the game at the GamesCom. After the voice over from Croft's father was showcased, the local driver takes the gamer to a secret location. However, a helicopter shoots the gamer's truck mid-way, causing a crash at the entrance of the tomb.
Once inside the tomb, there is less combat and more puzzle solving. Also, the trap screens from the very first game make a comeback in this gameplay. A narrow corridor leads the way to the inside of the tomb, which is pitch dark. The gamer needs the light from Croft's glow stick to find his/her way around. A few other sequences involve crawling too.
According to Microsoft, the new game will soon be released for Play Station 4, Xbox One and Xbox Gold. Till then, these six minutes of the game play can be viewed on the Xbox systems.
