'Mafia 3': Tale of a Vietnam War Veteran in an Unlikely Violent Setting; Watch Trailer (Video)

2K Games unveils the official cover and the music-centric trailer for the game Mafia 3, which will release on Oct. 7.

The storyline of the much-awaited game "Mafia 3" is based on a Vietnam War veteran Lincoln Clay.

Hangar Studios is developing "Mafia 3" to be published by 2K Games. 2K Games promised earlier that they will be releasing short glimpse into the world of "Mafia 3." This promise was fulfilled with the release of the first "Mafia 3" trailer recently. It was revealed at the GamesCom 2015 event which was recently held in Germany.

He was an American who found a home in the south, a safe to place to live for a guy like him. The entire story of this game takes place in the late sixties, making the gameplay all the more interesting, according to IGN.

In the gameplay, Lincoln will later join a Black mob and face the fury of a very angry Italian mob, according to Kotaku. He will also be backed up with a gang of skilled people with familiar faces. Clay is a people's person and will persuade many to follow him. He will later on be joined with Haitians, who are an Irish faction under Burke. Vito Scaletta will also join Clay. These three main protagonists will serve as lieutenants together.

The narrative of the game will depend solely on the preferences of the players. Players can also choose how aggressive Clay's empire can act during the game. Their choices will make or break the city.

Haden Blackman, who is the creative director at 2K Hanger 13 said that "Mafia 3" will continue the legacy of the franchise and present an intriguing crime series over the familiarity of the skylines of Los Angeles and New York.

The game is scheduled to release for Play Station 4, Xbox One and PC in 2016.
