The much awaited “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 7 will feature one of the highly anticipated characters - Mrs. Deeks, mother of Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).
The upcoming season will see the entry of “Parks and Recreation” alum Pamela Reed in the role of Mrs. Deeks, was revealed to be alive in the season 5, Digital Spy reported.
“It will come as a shock, but yes … Deeks does have a mother!” executive producer Shane Brennan told Entertainment Weekly. “A big moment for Kensi when they finally meet, a bigger moment for Deeks and another memorable NCIS: LA moment for the fans as we lift the veil — or in this case, the apron — on one of our much-loved characters.”
The arrival of Mrs. Deeks is expected to answer some questions about Deeks’ back story. There has not been much about Deeks’ family, other than a few tidbits throughout the entire series.
Mrs. Deeks will more likely be meeting the fans in the second episode of the season as Production Manager, Rick Tunell, has teased about a new entry, earlier this month.
“Tech scouting ep#702. You’ll meet someone you’ve been wanting to meet. #ncisla,” Tunell tweeted.
As of now, there is no information about how the show will bring Mrs. Deeks into the picture, while there are speculations of possible involvement in the LAPD’s Internal Affairs investigation.
It seems like fans will have to wait for some more time to see Callen’s (Chris O’ Donnel) father, another most expected character to make an entry in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 7, as the previous season revealed a lot of information on Callen’s past and his father.
