Toyota just extended its investment to Silicon Valley.

The first Tacoma pickup truck was introduce by Toyota in 2015 and 15 years after its inception the company announced that it will release a new and redesigned model which will hit the market before the end of August.

The 2016 Tacoma is part of Toyota's plan to regain the market it had lost when the global economy was hit with a major financial crisis, according to The Street.

The new Toyota Tacoma will sport a brand new and more powerful V6 engine. The pickup truck is embedded with new technologies that specializes on off-road driving and GoPro camera is now mounted on the car to record memorable driving experiences.

When the 2016 Tacoma debuted at the Detroit Auto Show Toyota division vice president and general manager Bill Fay said in a press release, "Americans have been using Toyota trucks for 50 years, to take them where cars won't and to pursue their adventures. With the new Tacoma we've built an unbelievably capable truck."

The new Tacoma will come in two models depending on its engine. There is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder model and a model that sports a brand new 3.5-liter V6 Atkinson-cycle engine. Both engines have direct and port fuel injection.

Once it hits the market, the pickup truck will be available in five trims which are; SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road and the Limited trim.

Some of the new features integrated on the 2016 Tacoma is the computerized system called Crawl Control. The new feature allows driver to climb as well as descend over a steep or any rough terrain in slow speed and low gear without the need to step on the brake or accelerator. The new feature only requires directional guide through the steering wheel and the Crawl Control system automatically provides appropriate power and brake depending on the terrain.
