When Apple upsized the iPhone 6 and supersized the iPhone 6 Plus, consumers gave their rousing approval and the 2014 flagships rampaged their way to record-shattering sales. But the handsets are far from perfect and a few trade-offs remain.

One of them was actually anticipated by Apple - the loss of one-hand navigation. Indeed when the iPhone screen was stretched from 4-inch to 4.7-inch (for the iPhone 6) or 5.5-inch (for the 6 Plus) one-hand use became a problem. The suddenly sprawling iPhone screen real estate seemed unreachable and hard to navigate with on one hand.

Good thing the tech giant offered a software solution. Hard-coded with iOS 8 is a tool called Reachability. By simply stroking down from the top portion of the iPhone screen the app is activate and whole device interface is pulled down, making it easier for users to tap and swipe with just one finger.

Reachability works wonders but the jailbreak community offers a better solution. According to BGR, OneHandWizard is far more powerful than Apple's in-house solution. The app works on iOS 8.4 jailbreak and when activated magically shrinks the iPhone 6/6 Plus screen into that of the iPhone 5S.

The jailbreak tweak developer showed off in a YouTube clip how OneHandWizard simply overwhelms Reachability. The user interface, which rests on the lower left corner for the lefty and on the lower right corner for the right-handed, is sized depending on users' preference. It can be like the 5S or 4-inch or even smaller and slightly larger.

In other words, OneHandWizard not only affords screen reachability but also tons of device empowerment. The jailbreak tweak can be accessed by jailbreaking the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus with the latest build - TaiG 2 JB tool that works with iOS 8.4, 8.3, 8.2 and 8.1.2. The Pangu team from China provides the software and jailbreaking guides on their official site.

Included with the jailbreak software package is Cydia, which serves as the jailbreak community's alternative App Store. And through Cydia, OneHandWizard can be installed but with a measly fee of $4, which should be a buy that is worth every penny when the gain amounts to optimized one-hand use on the biggie iPhones.

Now it remains to be seen if jailbreaking experience will also come to iOS 9, which would render the iPhone 6S and 6 Plus open to OneHandWizard following the devices' rumored September 2015 release date.
