Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth.

"Star Wars" fans and Disney kids have so much to look forward to. Disney is currently planning a "Star Wars" land in two locations. The company has also named a director for "Star Wars: Rouge One" and had released poster designs for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

"Star Wars" Land

Disney has announced the construction of two 14-acre "Star Wars" lands inspired by the sci-fi and fantasy hit series. The sites will be the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, and the Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

"We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever," Walt Disney Company Chairman-CEO Bob Iger announced at the Disney's D23 Expo 2015.

These authentic lands will have two signature attractions, including the ability to take the controls of one of the most recognizable ships in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon, on a customized secret mission, and an epic "Star Wars adventure" that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle, Disney Blog reported.

"Star Wars" Movies

Another big reveal from the D23 expo is the latest "Star Wars" director, Collin Trevorrow who was behind "Jurassic World." He will be on board to direct "Star Wars: Rogue One." Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn mentioned Trevorrow's "Jurassic World knocked Disney's "The Avengers" in the box office charts. "We hired him anyway," said Horn.

Trevorrow has confirmed Horn's statement and promised to create a mythology for the new generation, CNET reported.

Some actors slated for "Rouge One" have been revealed. They are Felicity Jones from "The Theory of Everything", Forest Whitaker from "The Last King of Scotland", Diego Luna from "Milk", Ben Mendelsohn from "Bloodline", Donnie Yen from "Blade II",  Jiang Wen from "Let the Bullets Fly", Mads Mikkelsen from "Casino Royale", Alan Tudyk from "I, Robot", and Riz Ahmed from "Nightcrawler".

The movie will soon start its production and is set for release on Dec. 16, 2016. It is in the pipeline after "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which is directed by J.J. Abrams. "The Force Awakens" hits the United States theaters on Dec. 18.

Meanwhile, attendees at D23 received a dramatic promo poster for "The Force Awakens" illustrated by Drew Struznan whose work includes posters for other "Star Wars" episodes, as well as, digital artworks for " Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "Back to the Future" trilogy, and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."
