Former champion Roy Jones, Jr is working hard to gain a title shot at age 46 and he's calling out the current cruiserweight champion, Marco Huck.

Roy Jones, Jr was hailed as the "Fighter of the Decade" for his dominating performance in the 90s.

When that decade started, Marco Huck was all of 5 years old. Jones is not fighting for the paycheck or boredom. He really wants another belt.

Huck talked about Jones on Boxing Scene and how he felt when one of his idols called him out.

"No it's not a joke," Huck said of a fight with Jones. "Roy Jones is a legend. I used to watch Roy's fight as a kid but when he first mentioned my name I didn't really know what to feel and I wouldn't know how to feel about smacking him in the face either but we'll see what happens."

The legend who won titles in the middleweight to heavyweight divisions will take the ring on August 16 against Billy Bailey, who's rather an anonymous boxer. But Jones hopes his dominant performances will garner a title shot. He told ESPN that it is not all about the title shot, but it's a driving force.

"It ain't about only the Huck fight," Jones says. "It's about whatever title fight I get. I'm eager to fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. I know Huck wants to break the [division defense] record, and then hopefully he will fight me later this year. Then I know he wants to go up to heavyweight. I want to stop that heavyweight s--- because after me I hope Huck wants the rematch after I beat him."

Jones actually fought two fights in March, 22 days apart. As a testament to his evergreen abilities, he was able to knockout both opponents in the first and second rounds respectively. While they were not exactly household names (Paul Vazquez, Willie Williams), it's still something to consider.
