Spider-Man has been reported to play a huge role in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."
The "Captain America: Civil War" footage at the recent D23 Expo did not give any hint on the role of the iconic web-slinger, leaving fans curious on Spider-Man's place in the Russos' upcoming film. According to Comic Book, "Spider-Man" actor Tom Holland has been reported to be in the film's set in Germany, which leads to speculations that the superhero is set to have a pivotal role in the upcoming film.
Aside from reporting to the Germany set, Holland has been rumored to be wearing two different Spider-Man costumes in the path of the Russos' film. Previous reports revealed that Holland would sport a suit his character created on his own and another suit that Tony Stark designed for him. This suggests that fans will see the iconic web-slinger in an epic battle with other superheroes in the film.
With a number of characters included in the Russos' film, it is assumed that Spider-Man role is going to be substantial in the film, according to Cinema Blend.
"Captain America: Civil War" features the release of the superhero registration act or the "accords," which leads to a tumultuous clash between the separate teams of Captain America, who is not in favor with the act, and Iron Man, who is in favor of the law.
Prior to Jon Watts' solo "Spider-Man" film, Spider-Man set to join Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Iron Man's side, along with Hawkeye, Vision, and War Machine. On the other hand, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier join Captain America's team.
Directed by the Russos, "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" is slated to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
