Manchester United (2-0-0, 6 points) attempts to extend its winning streak to three in the freshly started English Premier League season as it hosts winless club Newcastle United (0-1-1, 1 point) at the Old Trafford in Greater Manchester on August 22.

The Red Devils are coming off two one-nil victories over the Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa FC in the first two weeks of EPL competitions, with the latest instigated by midfielder Adnan Januzaj's 29th-minute goal, via Bleacher Report.

The team is also currently competing in the 2015-2016 UEFA Champions League, where they came from behind and dispatched a stern challenge by Belgian team Club Brugge KV, 3-1, also at the Old Trafford on Tuesday.

It seems like no one can stop Louis van Gaal's reloaded squad these days, as United still waits for the arrival of rumored latest acquisition, forward Pedro, from FC Barcelona.

The summer signings of midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, striker Memphis Depay, defender Matteo Darmian, and goalkeeper Sergio Romero made United a lot stronger this season and the Magpies are expected to have a tough time at the Old Trafford on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Newcastle dropped a 0-2 decision against Swansea City FC last week, as per Chronicle Live.

Steve McClaren has yet to pick up his first EPL win while managing the St. James Park residents and he may have to wait one more game before he can finally get one.

The prediction is a strong 3-0 statement by the Red Devils over the Magpies. Van Gaal's team is too star-studded and he is not finished yet with the new signings. However, sometimes the brightest constellations can still be upset by a determined challenger.

Manchester United starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Romero; Shaw, Blind, Smalling, Darmian; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Herrera, Depay, Young; Rooney

Newcastle United starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Krul; Janmaat, Haidara, Mbemba, Coloccini; Sissoko, Colback; Obertan, Anita, Wijnaldum; Cissé
