Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is Set for Major Design and Feature Revamps

MacBook Air and Pro 2016 release must showcase high end specs and features in order to succeed and widen its gap with its competitors.

While there is an overall decline in the laptop market with the emergence of hybrid devices, Apple continues to thrive thanks to its popular MacBook line. According to an IDC report, while Apple's MacBook Air is still the market's leader ultraportable PCs segment, its rivals Dell and Lenovo are slowly closing in. This is reportedly due to the lack of upgraded specs in MacBook Air 2015. The said laptop received criticisms because of its lack of physical and internal changes.

It is suspected that the gap will further close in with the release of Windows 10 operating system that will push more Windows-based devices thanks to its new software features. Unless Apple reveals a new product with superb specifications, Windows-based laptops may overtake its place in the market.

On the other hand, some of the purported features of the MacBook Air 2016 are 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology. The MacBook Air will be even thinner than last time.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to pack almost the same specs and features, but with more powerful RAM.

MacBook Air and Pro 2016 release date is expected to happen early next year alongside Apple TV Service and iMac.

However, Apple has not confirmed the aforementioned features yet.
