"Boruto - Naruto the Movie" that premiered in Japan on Aug. 7 will debut in Canada on Oct. 10, which is the same date it premieres in the United States.
On Aug. 21, Friday, Viz Media and Eleven Arts confirmed that they will debut the "Boruto - Naruto the Movie" in Canada on the same date that the film will premiere in the US, Anime News Network reported. The movie will screen in major cities of Canada including Ottawa, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Screening of the movie will have Japanese conversations with English subtitles.
The movie beat franchise box office records by earning a total of 680 million yen ($5.46 million) in its initial three days in theater in Japan. According to iDigital Times, the film was the best selling "Naruto" beating the previous film "The Last: Naruto the Movie" by more than 115.1 percent.
Based on Viz Media's synopsis, renowned ninja Naruto Uzumaki protects the Hidden Leaf Village as the Seventh Hokage. On the contrary, his troublesome son, Boruto despises his father because of his irresponsibility when it comes to family matters. Boruto chooses to hard in solitude so that he can disapprove his father.
Taking advantage of the differences between Boruto and Naruto, Sasuke take Boruto under his wing to be a personal trainer.
Under the leadership of Naruto, the Hidden Leaf Village schedules to host the Chunin Tests to train new shinobi from the region. Among those undergoing training are Sarada (Sasuke's only daughter), Boruto (Naruto's impetuous son), and Mitsuki (an extraordinarily gifted and mysterious shinobi).
In "Boruto - Naruto the Movie," viewers will also meet Sasuke who has been on a different mission to warn people against an impending danger. Shrouded in a malevolence aura, Momoshiki and Kinshiki emerge during Exams and attempts killing Naruto with the Rinnegan.
Naruto's son is terrified on seeing an attempt to kill his father but cannot do anything. Sasuke gives him protection and as Naruto tries to move in front so that he can protect them, he hypocritically smiles at Boruto before disappearing.
