Intracity rivals New York Jets and New York Giants face off at their MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for a week 3 NFL preseason contest on Saturday, August 29.
The Jets are 1-1 this preseason after starting lackadaisically as they were clobbered by the Detroit Lions, 23-3, in their opener on August 13 at the Ford Field.
Their next game was a 30-22 victory over the Atlanta Falcons last Friday at home where starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick were a little bit better than their opening game. The team was actually down 14-0 against Atlanta's starters but clawed back in the second period facing their backups, as per ESPN.
Meanwhile, the Giants are coming off a 22-12 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars also at home last Saturday.
Eli Manning had an off night, going 4-of-14 on his passes for only 46 yards, as per SB Nation. The reserves saved the game for the Giants as they pulled away in a 10-point fourth quarter explosion.
If Tom Coughlin wants to win, they will have to do it again with their backups.
Prediction: Jets win, 14-13
