It is almost time for the MTV Video Music Awards as the outstanding in the industry will be getting honored in Los Angeles. Here's everything you need to know about 32nd installment of the event to be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
Location
The VMAs will take place on Sunday, August 30 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be aired live on MTV in the US, whilst viewers in the UK can tune in at 7pm on Monday, August 31 to catch all the action.
Start time
Nicki Minaj will open the MTV Video Music Awards at 9pm EST.
Hosting
Miley Cyrus will take to the stage on Sunday night to host this year's ceremony. Cyrus was just 15 when she attended her first VMAs in 2008.
Nominations

Video Vanguard Award
Kanye West will receive the Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs. The award, also known as the Lifetime Achievement Award, has in the past been won by Michael and Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, U2 And George Michael, with it last being presented to Beyonce in 2014.
Performers
Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky and Twenty One Pilots will perform live at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
Justin Bieber will debut his new single "What Do You Mean." The Weeknd will also perform his blockbuster single "Can't Feel My Face."

The red-carpet show will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday. MTV will produce a live-streaming, 360-degree virtual-reality video experience for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards red-carpet pre-show on Sunday, Aug. 30 as reported by Deadline.

According to ebuzznew, the VR content will be available on demand via MTV's YouTube channel and mtv.com. Additional stars to broadcast live from the VMAs include Rickey Thompson, Danababy, Kinda Sarah, Andrea Russett, CyreneQ, Makeup by Mandy, Mahogany Lox and Josh Kennedy.

For the first time VMA "Live Story" with a stream of material will be provided with the help of Snapchat. In addition, it will provide VMA-related content to Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Twitter and on multiple MTV digital platforms.

MTV will give access to the red carpet and show to eminent social admirers, including YouTube stars Connor Franta and Lohanthony, Twitter star humorist Baddie Winkle, and Laci Green, host of MTV's "Braless" digital series on sexuality and other topics.

MTV News collaborated with Playbuzz, to launch Swiper for its VMA 2015 coverage that will let users swipe right for "like" and left for "disklike" (a la Tinder) for each post.

MTV Style will provide its Twitter Periscope broadcasting account to the female shoppers of Shop Jeen, an online clothing and accessories store, to provide instantaneous remarks on red carpet fashions.
