The Madame Tussaud wax museum in Las Vegas is protecting singer Nicki Minaj's wax statue's butt by placing a barrier and guards near the figure to prevent inappropriate photo opportunities by museum visitors.

After Nicki's statue was placed, its inviting pose wherein the singer was on all fours and her rear end raised up in the air, made museum visitors shoot naughty poses such as sticking their faces, fingers or tongues in her crack. The photos were then posted on social media sites and became viral, reports E! News.

The pictures were actually in response to a photo contest launched by the museum that backfired. Madame offered a swag bag as prize for the winner of the contest which included entries posted on Instagram, per the rules of the contest, which showed fans being inappropriate with Nicki statue's ass.

In a statement on Friday, the museum said it was unfortunate that a particular visitor, who uses the handle @Javi-Maraj tweeted his picture smelling Nicki's bottom, opted to behave improperly. It apologized for any offense caused by the photo and adds, "We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again."

Prior to the museum announcement, Azalea Banks asked why did Madam Tussaud make a wax figure of Nicki in such a pose instead of her standing and holding a microphone? Banks pointed out that when Martha Stewart was jailed - which is her most iconic moment - the museum did not make a wax statue of Stewart wearing a jailbird's uniform. She adds, "All ppl are gonna do is put up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt."

Nicki thanked her fans in a tweet for producing results even if she did nothing about the wax statue brouhaha. It was the fans' complaint that led Madame Tussaud to place guards and rails on the figure, reports MTV. She tweeted: "Yo my fans r fkn crazyyyyy. Lol they get results ... Teach me yall. Teach me your ways."
