Celine Dion To Have 40 Shows Until January In Concert Comeback

Fans of Celine Dion would be happy to know that the diva has returned to the concert scene with 40 shows scheduled until January 2016.

The first of the anticipated shows was held on Thursday at Caesars Palace on the Strip, Las Vegas. The 47-year-old singer rendered some of her hits such as "Because You Loved Me" and "My Heart Will Go On," reports TMZ.

Las Vegas Review-Journal that Celine wore a floor-length white gown and sang to the first lines of "I Surrender" before the curtain dropped to reveal a 31-piece orchestra behind her. She told the appreciative audience, "You know, I have missed you very much, your applause, your cheers, but I did not miss your love, because I knew it was with me."

Among the songs she belted include "Where Does My Heart Beat Now," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and "The Power of Love."

Celine took a long break to take care of her husband, Rene Angelil, who is recovering from cancer. While she sang Roberta Flack's "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," footage of Celine and her family was playing on the screen behind her, while the diva sat on a stool and sang the classic.

But it was not all ballads and love songs as Celine moved to "Uptown Funk" band medley that include "We Are Family," "Groove Is In The Heart" and "Get Up." Then she segued to "Kiss" and "Purple Rain."

The review says Celine's comeback shows, although not perfect, definitely should not be missed by music lovers and her fans.
