Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Captain Marvel” have been reported to film in the land down under, Australia.

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Captain Marvel" have been reported to film in the land down under, Australia.

According to Yahoo Movies, Disney found it favorable to film Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg's  upcoming Johnny Depp-led film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" in Australia and it wants to film more movies there.

A technical specialist of Ronning and Sandberg's film also told Yahoo Movies that Disney's heads were very satisfied during the course of the filming and they are now planning to bring there one of Marvel's upcoming films.

Sources told Comic Book that aside from the contentment of the big bosses, as well as Hemsworth residing in Australia, the filming location is assumed to contribute in cutting production costs. Since Disney has become familiar with the place when it filmed "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," the studios would be able to save its funds.

Production could commence as early as Mar. 2016 should Marvel Studios and the House of Mouse push Australia as the filming location for "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Captain Marvel," as per Comic Book.

Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are set to reprise their roles as Thor and Loki, respectively in Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok." Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey has been rumored to play the role of Captain Marvel. However, Marvel has not given any confirmation on the actress who will land the role of its first female-led superhero film.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017 while "Captain Marvel" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2018. Meanwhile, Ronning and Sandberg's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is in theaters on July 7, 2017.
