New Nintendo 3DS is coming to North America and available in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle

The Japanese video game company Nintendo has announced that the new New Nintendo 3DS will finally arrive in North America on Sept. 25.

The smaller and customizable version of new Nintendo 3DS will be available as a part of the $219.99 bundle package with "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer." The bundle includes "Happy Home Designer", two swappable faceplates and one amiibo card. The two swappable faceplates allow the players to personalized the look of new Nintendo 3DS, according to Wired.

The new Nintendo 3DS has similar features from the larger version, Nintendo 3DS XL. It incorporates a wider range of controls, face-tracking 3D, and built-in NFC functionality for amiibo figurines communication. While playing the "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer", players will only tap compatible amiibo cards to meet characters and learn more about their personalities.

In addition, for older versions of the portable gaming console, players will be able to use the cards by purchasing the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer accessory at $19.99 and it will be available on Sept. 25 as well, Polygon reported.

Nintendo is also launching the new Nintendo 3DS XL handheld exclusive at GameStop. Its "Hyrule Edition" New Nintendo 3DS XL system will be launched on Oct. 30 at a price of $199.99. U.S. players with an Amazon account will now be able to buy Nintendo games for the 3DS on the shopping site, with 61 titles available and the content will be sent directly to 3DS console.

However, Nintendo did not confirm if and when the company will be selling the new Nintendo 3DS free from the "Animal Crossing" bundle or if there will be other faceplates available.
