The new title and credits for the controversial TV series
"Lucifer" has been revealed.
Writers of the show took to Twitter to tease fans on the upcoming episode, posting that the fourth episode is called, 'Sweet Kicks". Sheri Elwood wrote the episode, while Tim Matheson served as the director.
Elwood's writing credit includes the dark comedy "Call Me Fitz", about a "morally bankrupt" salesman. Tim Matheson recently had roles on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
Elwood and Matheson fit well with the TV series Lucifer which tackles the life of the fallen archangel after he abandoned hell and lived in Los Angeles, partnering with a policewoman to investigate when a woman was gunned down in front of the club where he plays the piano.
The new series is based on a comic book which gives a fresh and modern take on the devil. The comic book itself was spun off from the well received Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" graphic novel, published by Vertigo, which originally featured the titular character, played Welsh-actor Tom Ellis in the series.
While Lucifer will not hit the small screen until next year, it has already caused some controversy for FOX TV network. The pilot episode for the series was leaked in August by hackers, along with the small screen adaptation of Tom Cruise-starring movie "Minority Report".
Last June, an online petition called for the cancellation of the show, even before it airs on 2016. The right-wing Christian group One Million Mom objected to the portrayal of Satan in positive light.
