Stan Lee Talks Josh Trank’s “Fantastic Four.”

"Fantastic Four" producer Stan Lee has made a big revelation on why Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" film reboot failed in the box office.

Lee is regarded as an expert on matters regarding Marvel. In his interview with Larry King in Ora.tv, the producer said that the film probably turned out to be unsuccessful in the box office because he did not have a cameo in it, along with the thought that Trank and the production team did not discourse the film's story with him.

While saying jokingly that he did not have a cameo in Trank's film, Lee appeared in previous "X-Men" films and in Tim Story's 2005 "Fantastic Four." However, the fact that he was not consulted by the director and the crew posed a larger dilemma to the team when they were still conceptualizing the story plot for the film reboot, as per Cinema Blend.

Lee also revealed in Ora.tv that he has not yet seen Trank's "Fantastic Four" version, a reason why the producer could not give much positive nor negative comments on the film. Though Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox made some success with their film releases, "Fantastic Four" has stood as a stone hard to crush, since Story's 2005 "Fantastic Four" incarnation.

"Fantastic Four" presents an origin story of the titular superhero team. The film starred Miles Teller, Kata Mara, Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jackson, and Toby Kebbell, among others.

Trank's "Fantastic Four" premiered in theaters on Aug. 5. Meanwhile, a "Fantastic Four" film sequel is slated to hit theaters on June 9, 2017.
