Dwight Howard

It would seem like common sense to not bring a gun loaded with bullets to an airport full of people and officers watching you at every checkpoint.

Common sense that is, if you're not Dwight Howard.

The Houston Rocket's All Star Center was recently stopped at the George Bush Airport in Houston, Texas on the 28th of August when the TSA noticed that Howard had brought a loaded glock in his carry on luggage.

The weapon was a glock 26 9mm with one round in the chamber.

It has been reported that Dwight Howard claimed that he simply 'forgot' about having a loaded gun in his bag, and shortly after the TSA discovered the weapon it was brought back to Howard's house by an associate of his. Howard was able to board his plane on time without any further incident.

The Houston Police Department has stated that while the District Attorney is well aware of the incident, he do not plan on pressing any charges.

In any other state, Dwight Howard would have been in a lot of trouble. The idea of bringing a loaded weapon to such a public place is mind boggling to most people. Luckily, he plays for the Houston Rockets in a state where the gun laws are incredibly laxed. They recently passed a law allowing citizens to return their guns if they have been brought to public places like an airport.

The Houston Rockets have been informed about the situation will conduct their own investigation of the incident.
