Fans of "24" were happy when the renowned drama returned for a 12-episode series, "24: Live Another Day," although the sequel was extremely short. There is good news for fans who long to have another taste of the series since the next episode of "Bones" season 11 is eminent.
Kim Raver who played Department of Defense contact Audrey Raines in "24" seasons 4, 5, 6, and 9, will be featured in two opening episodes of "Bones" season 11, TVLine reported. In the upcoming season, Raver will play FBI special agent Grace Miler, a central figure in tracking down agent Booth (David Boreanaz).
"Bones" executive producer Michael Peterson told the publication, "It's a true thriller, somewhere between a traditional 'Bones' and an episode of '24.'"
Seemingly, "Bones" is collecting guest stars for the upcoming season 11. The series will also feature Betty White (Dr. Beth Mayer), a veteran forensic scientist for one of the episodes. Both Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth will consult White with regard to a new murder case.
White will cause some tension for Brennan and Booth. Having a half century experience in forensic science, White is more knowledgeable than Brennan. She may have Booth beat on football fandom making the murder in the episode to have a close relationship with fantasy football.
Meanwhile, the series has a crossover event scheduled with Fox's "Sleepy Hollow." In the episode to be aired on Oct. 29, Thursday, Brennan and Booth will cross paths with Abbie (Nichole Beharie) and Ichabod (Tom Mison) from "Sleepy Hollow" after revealing a horrible murder.
All characters in the crossover have a part to play in finding evidence in the murder case. Therefore, they team up to solve the mystery behind the gruesome killing. Concerning Raver, fans will have to remain patient to find out if the vet will do her best Jack Bauer impression and capture Booth.
"Bones" season 11 debuts on Fox on Oct. 1. At 8 p.m. EDT.
