The alter ego of Bruce Banner, Marvel superhero The Hulk was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

While Amadeus Cho, the lead character in the upcoming "Totally Awesome Hulk," is the new Hulk, the story of Bruce Banner is not over yet, according to Marvel's editor-in-chief Axel Alonso.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Alonso said adding that there is also a story to be told for Bruce Banner in the "Totally Awesome Hulk" series, which will premiere in December.

According to Alonso, he and "Totally Awesome Hulk" series writer Greg Pak talked about how fascinating Bruce Banner's life will become now that the weight is now on Amadeus Cho's shoulders and no longer on his.

Alonso emphasized that Bruce Banner's story is far from finished. He explained that people should not think that they are jettisoning Bruce Banner as he has a place in the Marvel Universe.

"I think it's going to become more fascinating what that place is in the coming months," Alonso commented, which Pak agreed with.

"There's a big mystery of what exactly is going on with Banner and exactly what happened with Banner, and what state he's in now," the "Totally Awesome Hulk" series writer explained. "And as the series unfolds, that will be a big part of the story."

Meanwhile, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actor Mark Ruffalo recently said the reason for Bruce Banner's disappearance is too great to be revealed in the 2016 film "Captain America: Civil War."

In an interview with Bad Taste, Ruffalo said, "I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don't want to reveal where is he and why. I don't even know if Hulk will be back soon.
