Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is reportedly on Sept. 29 and more concrete details about the handset surfaced online.

Google will hold a rare launching event for Nexus 5 2015 release on Sept. 29, according to CNET. Previous Google launches lacked spectacular event and, more often than not, slip the devices in the market. This year, the event will showcase two Nexus smartphones made by LG and Huawei. However, the details remained under wraps.

The following are the top three signs that Nexus 5X, or more popularly known as Google Nexus 5 2015, is coming later this month.

1. Leaked Photos

A new photo of the alleged Google Nexus 5X leaked online. Android PIT grabbed a photo of the back panel of the handset. The photo showed that the handset packs a fingerprint scanner placed under the rear camera at the center. The image also hinted that the smartphone dropped its rubber matte finish and replaced it with plastic-looking casing.

2. Nexus 6 Discounts

Nexus 6 discounts is an indicator that its successor is coming. Last year's smartphone is now available for $349 at Amazon, which is $150 off than its regular price. The Nexus 6 was released with a price tag starting at $500.

3. Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release

After unveiling the Android M in June and providing a developer version to beta testers, the tech giant will finally release the official version of the operating system. Reports claimed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released on Sept. 29 alongside Nexus 5 2015, which is the first smartphone to run with the new Android OS.

However, there is no official confirmation from Google yet regarding the Nexus 5 2015 or Nexus 5X.
