The top two teams of the 2015-2016 Premier League season so far, Crystal Palace FC (3-1-0, 9 points) and Manchester City FC (4-0-0, 12 points), are set to meet in a highly-anticipated matchup at the Selhurst Park in South Norwood, London on September 12, Saturday.

After losing to Arsenal, 1-2, in the second week of competitions, the Eagles have managed to string two consecutive victories against Aston Villa and Chelsea.

CPFC is fresh from a 2-1 drubbing of the defending champions on August 29 right at the Blues' Stamford Bridge behind goals from Malian forward Bakary Sako and defender Joel Ward. The first half of the match went scoreless even though Jose Mourinho's men dominated possession, as per ESPN.

Meanwhile, league leader Manchester City is dominating their opponents after four matches so far in the season.

New recruit Raheem Sterling had been instrumental in City last four convincing wins against West Brom, 3-0, Chelsea, 3-0, Everton, 2-0, and Watford, 2-0.

In the game against the Hornets, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder opened the scoring for the Citizens right at the start of the second half while Brazilian winger Fernandinho shot a David Silva pass at the 56th-minute for City's second goal of the match, via BBC Sport.

Manuel Pellegrini made another giant signing right before the transfer deadline, snagging another scorer and playmaker in Kevin De Bruyne from Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.

However, it is likely that Pellegrini will not yet field in De Bruyne for the Crystal Palace match as the 24-year-old Belgium international is reportedly still serving his national team as of the moment.

The predicted result is another 2-0 win for the Citizens. The Eagles will definitely put up a fight and would probably even be the first team to break City's defense, but Pellegrini's boys will overcome.

Crystal Palace starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): McCarthy; Ward, Dann, Souaré, Delaney; McArthur, Cabaye; Zaha, Puncheon, Sako; Wickham

Manchester City starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Hart; Kolarov, Mangala, Kompany, Sagna; Sterling, Touré; Navas, Silva, Fernandinho; Agüero
