Former supermodel Beverly Johnson made a surprising revelation on Sept. 9, Wednesday, when she declared during an interview in ABC's "Good Morning America" that she has forgiven Bill Cosby to whom she has accused in 2014 of drugging and assaulting her with intent of rape.
"I forgive you," said the model when she was asked what she has to say if she meets the legendary TV star, whom she had accused of drugging her in 1986 during a meeting for a possible part on "The Cosby Show," ABC News reported.
The 62-year-old model made headlines in December 2014 when she raised serious allegations on the 77-year-old star in a first-person essay, published in Vanity Fair. The model also mentioned at the time that she found the courage to come forward with her allegations in the wake of other women raising similar charges.
Cosby has been accused by 34 other women of drugging and sexual assault. To date, he has not been charged in any of the cases and his lawyers have dismissed all the allegations.
Johnson made the statement when she was talking on the talk show about her upcoming memoir "The Face That Changed It All," in which she has recalled her days as one of the world's top models which were fueled only by cigarettes, champagne and drugs.
The legendary model, who was the first black woman to appear on the covers of Vogue, also stated that how people back in 1970s had a misconception about drugs that it sharpen the intelligence and reduces appetite.
