Android Lollipop 5.1.1 over the air update upgrade is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

All the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users for the US Cellular network carrier currently can avail the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. This update will incorporate many tweaks and security updates in the device, according to US Cellular.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will bring about the following features in these devices:

1. The device will be able sync up to other smart devices like a smart TV or a smart washing machine.

2. Users can easily sync the apps and music from their Android device to any other Android device.

3. The material design will get a major upgrade. The entire look  and feel of the device will change. There will be more animations and improvised applications, along with colorful widgets and themes.

4. The feature of device sharing will become more secured. The feature of guest mode will allow the users to share their device with a friend or a family member, keeping their privacy fully intact.

5. The notifications controls will get an enhancement. Users will now be able to adjust the volume control directly, without going into the settings.

Below is an easy way to download the entire upgrade:

1. Go to the "Settings" of the device.

2. Select "About Device." 

3. Select "Software Update."

4. Follow the instructions which follow

The device must be connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection and must be at least 50 percent charged, for the upgrade to be installed without any hassles.

It is not confirmed whether Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users will get the upcoming Android Marshmallow update or not. Android Marshmallow is expected to increase the battery life and enhance the user experience for the device, according to GSM Arena.
