NBA Trade Rumors: Kenneth Faried To Toronto Raptors? Former Nuggets GM To Send Terrence Ross, Patterson In Return

The Toronto Raptors continue to search for better options at the power forward spot after Amir Johnson left for Boston.

Raptors GM Masai Ujiri was a former Executive of the Year awardee when he was still with the Denver Nuggets. Part of why he won the award is how he managed the Carmelo Anthony trade demand. He managed to turn a possible disastrous situation for the team into a very respectable transaction.

One of his underrated moves was drafting Kenneth Faried with the 22nd overall pick in 2011, as chronicled by CBC Sports.

"In 2011, Ujiri used the 22nd overall draft pick on Kenneth Faried. The 'Manimal' has emerged as an impact player off the bench for the Nuggets, utilizing his athleticism at the power forward position on both ends of the floor."

It would be no surprise if Ujiri would still want to bring Faried with him north of the border to Toronto, considering Faried can play the "four" position. A trade proposal from

Sir Charles In Charge reinforces the idea.

The proposal: Kenneth Faried and Randy Foye to Toronto, Terence Ross and Patrick Patterson to Denver.

"As a former GM for the Nuggets, Ujiri swings a deal with Denver and brings the long-coveted Faried to Toronto," SCIC suggested. "For Denver, Ross fills a hole at starting SG, where the oft-injured Wilson Chandler can share duties. Patterson, and his 122.1 ORtg (ranked 7th in the league), would be a welcome addition to a Nuggets squad that was ranked 19th in Offensive Rating."

Faried would be needed to beef up a frontline of DeMarre Carroll and Jonas Valanciunas while Foye would add some bench scoring after the departure of Lou Williams.

What do you think of this trade? Will this trade happen before the season starts?
