Mercedes-Benz has been developing a super SUV dubbed as Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG that surpassed the limit by becoming a road legal SUV and the largest model that Mercedes-Benz has made to date.

According to Auto-car, the vehicle was produced on a limited basis at a price of around half a million dollars. It is on this base that reports claim that it is no longer in fabrication. However, enough demand could continue production of the fashionable G63 AMG 6×6 as Mercedes publicized deliveries of 2015MY starting on Sept. 1.

Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 has six driven wheels and is equipped with a low range gear, a tire control system which is operated by a triple switch on the dashboard and five differential locks.

G63 AMG 6×6 also houses a 5.5-liter v8 engine that is turbo-charged and can produce a horsepower of 536 and 560Ib of torque. The engine is powerful enough to overcome the vehicle's stunning weight of 3850 kg.

According to Motor1, the vehicle's fuel tank has a capacity of 159 liters and the engine comes with an extra capability. Apparently, the engine can alter high range to low range quotient of 2.16:1 on off-road driving and 0.87:1 in on-road driving with a 30:40:30 split between the six wheels.

It is said to have good navigation and enhanced traction despite its enormous weight and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in only six seconds and reach a top speed of 100mph.

Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 has come to attract many enthusiasts throughout the world including Lewis Hamilton, the leading Formula one champion. The British racecar driver reportedly uploaded a photo on social media which depicted his liking for the vehicle.

Yet, production of the 2015MY G63 AMG 6×6 will be limited to around 20-30 units. The car is therefore, is believed to be one of the most luxurious vehicles on the planet. The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, then again, holds a record for the Mercedes Company.
