Toddler's video has gone viral within few hours on Facebook.

Childhood can be confusing, sometimes even terrifying. This is evident from the recently gone hysterical viral video, where a young toddler is terrified of her own shadow and tries to run away from it.

The video was originally uploaded on Facebook by Mike Jacobs to share the reaction of her daughter, Kiya, when she sees her own shadow probably for the first time. The video went viral immediately, receiving more than eight million views in the first 18 hours, Inquisitr reported. Credit the more than 883,000 Facebook shares, the number of views of the hilariously cute video is bound to increase by leaps and bounds.

Currently seen by over 26 million viewers to date, the video begins with a female voice asking a toddler if she is ready for a nap or not. The visibly cranky child seems to be in no mood to lie down and continues to stroll in blazing sun.

Suddenly the child yells out a scream when she discovers a black flat creature emerging from her foot. She tries to run away from it only to find it once again near her little feet. The fear of her own shadow sent the little girl tumbling to the ground and the clip is cut off abruptly.

Seeing the popularity of the video on the social networking site, many online commentators even suggested Jacobs to upload the video on YouTube in order to earn some moolahs owing to the advertising revenue offered to viral videos by the video-sharing site, though, such videos of kids afraid of their own shadows videos keep popping on YouTube, People reported.
