‘Super Mario Maker’: Tips To Unlock All Building Items & Templates [Video]

"Super Mario Maker" is the most recent craze on the Nintendo Wii U. It is a Minecraft-esque game that gives a chance to gamers to develop their own Mario stages and challenge levels from other players online getting much critical praise.

In case a player wants to improve his "Super Mario Maker" for the first time, it will be vital to jump right into developing and building personal level. However, the building items available at the beginning of the game are few, and if one chooses to play some other levels created by the Mario Maker community, it is clear that they have an apparently unlimited amount of components, iDigital Times noted.

While there are costumes and characters that players can unlock, the major concern is whether they can unlock all the building items and templates in "Super Mario Maker." In essence, it is a gradual burn and conventionally takes nine days to unlock all the items. Each day, a player will have to spend much time using the items at their disposal.

Here are some tips on how to unlock the building components and templates in "Super Mario Maker":

  1. Put each item at your disposal at least once, and literally using every item; just throw them on your stage.
  2. Place many blocks. This can be done by simply throwing the blocks down in droves. If a player is not sure, through down a block.
  3. The procedure takes approximately 5 to 15 minutes. During the period, a delivery truck will surface to bring you the next set of items.
  4. The item truck that provides you with more building items is Nintendo
  5. There is a cooldown time of approximately 15 minutes where you will not unlock any new items.

There is a list of all the unlockable items at Nintendo Life. In the event you want to create the best Mario stage in "Super Mario Maker" today, you should unlock all the items on the first day. Use the simple steps below to get all the items on day one:

  • Exit out of Super Mario Maker and go to the Wii U menu
  • Go to Settings and change date to the next day
  • Boot Super Mario Maker back up and the items will appear
