The Last Witch Hunter trailer

The battle between good and evil has never looked so intense and haunting in Vin Diesel's new supernatural movie "The Last Witch Hunter."

Diesel is playing the role of Kaulder, a legendary witch hunter who chases and slays witches across the globe. He was able to defeat the Queen Witch, played by Julie Engelbrecht, and her minions.

According to IGN, Kaulder was cursed by the Queen before she died by making him an immortal. This meant that he could never be reunited with his wife and daughter in the afterlife.

The premise of the movie is that witches still exist in the modern and it's up to the last witch hunter alive to annihilate them. The vicious supernatural creatures plan to destroy the world under the leadership of the resurrected Queen.

The matriarch of all witches is seeking her sweet revenge on Kaulder and will not stop until he gets defeated and the human race gets obliterated.

The movie is so promising that Diesel already said that talks of a sequel is already happening, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.

"The Last Witch Hunter" is directed by Breck Eisner and stars Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, and Rose Leslie (Ygritte from "Game of Thrones").

Diesel has a lot of great movies in the pipeline headed by his comeback in "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." He will also appear in highly-anticipated sequel "Furious 8."

The 48-year-old actor will likewise star in the Ang Lee-directed film "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" alongside Kristen Stewart.

He will also be back as the ever famous giving tree Groot in the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" sequel which is scheduled to be released in 2017.

"The Last Witch Hunter" hits the big screen on October 23, 2015.
