CW TV Series "Jane The Virgin"

"Jane the Virgin" cast member Andrea Navedo talked about the romantic relationship of her character Xiomara Villanueva with Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil) in the upcoming second season of the CW TV series. Navedo teased in an interview what the fans can see in the Xiomara-Rogelio relationship in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 after getting married while drunk in the pilot season's finale episode.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly at People's Ones to Watch Party in Los Angeles, Andrea Navedo revealed that "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will focus on the unplanned Xiomara-Rogelio marriage in the first couple of episodes. In the finale of "Jane the Virgin" Season 1, Xiomara and Rogelio found out that they got married while drunk in Las Vegas where their show was held.

Navedo teased that it will be hilarious to watch how Xiomara and Rogelio handle the situation in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. However, Navedo hopes that Xiomara's marriage will work out because she believes her character really loves Rogelio.

Navedo further added that the upcoming new season will also show how fierce her daughter Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) will be as a mom because she would always step up and do what she has to do for her son Mateo. Meanwhile, Xiomara will not be the only one with the married status in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2.

Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Jane will tie the knot in the CW TV series' new season. Urman did not reveal who Jane will marry but she teased that a new guy could enter the picture and vie for Jane's affection just like her ex-fiancé Michael (Brett Dier) and Mateo's dad, Rafael (Justin Baldoni).

Aside from embracing motherhood, Urman further teased that Jane will also deal with other issues in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. The pilot season touched on the legal status of Jane's grandmother Alba (Ivonne Coll).

Urman shared that "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will dig deep into Alba's situation where she lacks a green card. Another issue that Jane will deal with in the new season is how to raise her son as she continues to be astride with her American and Latino background.

Urman teased that the fans will see in baby Mateo's baptism how the traditions handed down from Alba to Xiomara and then Jane are going to be significant. "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will premiere on Monday night, Oct. 12, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
