Xiaomi Mi 4c Will Make You Drop Nexus 5X, Moto X 2015 & LG G4 – Here’s Why

Xiaomi is China's leading domestic smartphone maker.

China's Xiaomi is seriously selling a flagship phone at dirt-cheap $204 starting price. The Xiaomi Mi 4c is a very capable handset that boasts of the same power specs found on the Nexus 5X, Moto X 2015 and LG G4.

Against the three Android flagships, the choice is easy as the Xiaomi Mi 4c is fired up by the 6-core Snapdragon 808 chip, tapped into 2GB of RAM. Now, this Qualcomm mobile engine is the same that powers up the Nexus 5X or more popularly known as LG Nexus 5 2015, the Motorola Moto X 2015 and the LG G4.

But Xiaomi made sure that its Mi 4c is not to be outgunned in other specs as the Chinese device maker deployed the device with a 5-inch screen that beams out clips and images in 1080p resolution - very 2015 flagship smartphone standard. The basic storage is a decent 16GB space with a 32GB edition that will sell at slightly higher tag of $235. The latter is also bumped up with 3GB of RAM

The 13-megapixel rear camera is fully equipped to slug it out not only with the three mentioned Android flagships above but also with other rivals out there. The main shooter is laced with fast phase detection auto-focus, Xiaomi said.

There are numerous color options though buyers must note that the finish is panda-modelled, meaning the front will stay black and only the back plate will come in different colors.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c appears to be future-proof, as noted by The Verge, largely due to its USB Type-C connector. The immediate benefit is fast-charging thanks to Qualcomm's native Quick Charge 2.0 technology and superfast data sharing.

But really the deal-breaker for the Nexus 5X, the new Moto X and the LG G4 is the latest Xiaomi smartphone's starting price. At $204, this is easily is the cheapest flagship available, per Engadget.

Note that the Moto X 2015 (Pure Edition in the U.S. and Style elsewhere) starts at $399 while the LG G4 is priced much higher. It remains a rumor but the Google Nexus 5 2015 or Nexus 5X is said to unbox with 16GB of built-in memory for $350.

Still, the Xiaomi Mi 4c basic sticker price of $204 prevails as the most tempting of the bunch. The only problem is it remains a mystery if the handset will see a release date outside of China soon.
