After MacBook Pro 2016 went missing in action at the recent iPhone launch event, there are speculations that the laptop will be released at a later date as the previous 15-inch MacBook Pro received generous discounts.
US electronics retailer Best Buy offered a great deal to consumers by dropping its price from $1,999 to $1,699. The discounted model is the 15.4-inch Retina MacBook Pro released in May 2015, with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage.
B&H Photo, on the other hand, offers $600 discount on the 2014 model of 15-inch MacBook Pro that boasts 2.5GHz Intel processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB flash storage.
Giving out big discount is a sign that the successor of a device is coming soon. These big discounts offer great savings to consumers, while it allows Apple and retailers to exhaust the remaining inventory of the old models before the release of the new model.
Meanwhile, MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be rolled out in the market next month. Other reports claimed that the laptop will be released early next year, a year after this year's MacBooks release.
MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to come with 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, a more powerful RAM and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology.
However, Apple has not confirmed the official specs and features of MacBook Pro 2016. Consumers must sit tight and wait for Apple's announcement.
