'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: New Characters Revealed

"The Walking Dead" Starring Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus Airs Sundays on AMC

AMC's zombie series "The Walking Dead" will now be on its sixth season next month and spoilers on the new season's characters are taking over the Internet by storm.

Based on the comic book series of the same name, "The Walking Dead" is an ongoing zombie apocalyptic series that tells the story of former sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes after he woke up from a months-long coma to find the world overrun by zombies.

In the previous seasons, Grimes had met and clashed with different individuals that he encountered in his quest to find a safe place for his family and fellow survivors.

For Season 6, the former deputy would face more challenges in the post-apocalyptic world as he deal with predicaments in the Alexandria Safe Zone. According to Bloody Disgusting, new individuals would soon be a part of Grimes and his team's fight for survival which could either make or break their group.

Based on spoilers, the comic book character of Negan might show up in the show's last episode. However, his existence is more of a threat to the former deputy as Negan is responsible for the death of one of the series' major characters.

In addition, fans asserted that the said character would be a huge challenge to the Grimes' team and would also be responsible for a series of horrifying events.

While there may be threats, there are also possible allies. According to TV, the character of Jesus would also be appear in Season 6 who is known as a resident of the Alexandria Safe Zone. "Jesus" is identified as a skilled man with a strong set of morals and values in the new world.

Previously, the series officially released a synopsis of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 where Grimes' group would have to deal with their personal issues and a threat found within. What the production referred to as within is up to viewers to find out.

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 will air its extended 90-minute premiere on Oct. 11.
