Ozzy Osbourne To Cameo In "Ghostbusters 3" Along With Old Cast Members Ernie Hudson And Annie Potts

A "Ghostbusters" remake of the classic film is underway with old cast members joining the show

Despite previous assertions that a "Ghostbusters" remake would prove to be a "bad idea," cast member of the old franchise Ernie Hudson is set to star in the female-fronted reboot, along with cameos by Annie Potts and Ozzy Osbourne as well.

Hudson has been spotted on set during the final days of production, according to the Guardian. While the film is being directed by Paul Feig of "Bridesmaids" fame  it has not been established if Hudson will play a cameo role or even reprise the character of Winston Zeddemore, a member of the original cast and the only African American in the ghost fighting team of 1984.

Mid last year Hudson aired his views on a possible reboot of the show, misjudging the mood at the time he was quoted as saying, an all-female cast may not be something the fans would like to see. Adding, "if they're not funny, at least hopefully it'll be sexy."

Not long after, Hudson issued a statement praising director Feig's work in the remake with a complete change of tone, "Four fiercely funny, foxy, females busting ghosts ... phenomenal!"

While director Feig has been able to convince surviving cast members to contribute and support the remake with previously confirmed cameos of Dan Aykroyd and "Groundhog Day" star Bill Murray, actress Annie Potts who formerly played the character of Janine Melnitz in the franchise is also set to make an appearance, Consequence Of Sound reported.

Further the publication reports that Potts will take on the role of a clerk at a hotel - a step up from her previous role as the team's secretary in the older movies.  The show is also reported to throw in a performance that will keep metalheads happy, as Ozzy Osbourne is reported to have already finished filming a cameo for the remake.
