12-year-old Maddie Ziegler wants to pursue an acting career.

"Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler, 12, may not be returning to the show for season 6 since she wants to pursue an acting career. Ziegler was recently hailed by a magazine as one of the Hollywood's next big thing.

The "Hot Commodity" dancer shared her thoughts through the Teen Vogue magazine on how things have changed since she appeared in different projects like music videos and TV shows. She said, ""It's cool that I get work without being asked to audition. I feel like people trust me and believe I'm capable of putting in the work."

Dishing on her career plans, Ziegler said that she really wants to concentrate on acting and even sing a little bit to widen her career field. She expressed her desire to do a movie or a scripted TV show.

Previously, Ziegler has been commissioned to feature in Sia's video for the songs "Chandelier" and the latest "Elastic Heart." The star dancer also guest featured in "Pretty Little Liars" and "Drop Dead Diva."

In other news, Chloe Lukasiak, Ziegler's former competitor and long time friend, opened up about her personal difficulties to handle people's criticism concerning her medical condition.

Lukasiak last featured in "Dance Moms" season 4 and shocked viewers in the manner through which she left. Talking to Seventeen magazine, she pointed out that she realized than her eyes are not of the same size and other people started making fan of it by calling it "lazy eye."

Emotionally, she said that about a year and a half ago, she and her mother became concerned why her right eye is smaller than her left. After seeing a doctor and going through many laboratory tests, it was established that she has silent sinus syndrome that causes painless face asymmetry.

Lukasiak underwent surgery this month and is currently recuperating.
