Evergrande will be wearing a new team jersey for the opening match of the 2013 Club World Cup tournament and the biggest difference on the new jersey will be the addition of an eye-catching five-star red flag to the upper left front.

Evergrande will be the first team from China to participate in the Club World Cup. Prior to the announcement by the team's official website, there were only elements of the five-star red flag in the uniform design. This time the biggest difference between the new jersey and the older Super League and AFC Champions League jerseys is the addition of the five-star red flag patch to the front signifying that Evergrande represents China.

Due to the special significance of the flag, Evergrande was required to first apply and get permission from the Chinese Football Association and other authorities before it could be added to the uniforms. While the new uniforms will be ready for the team's match in Morocco, in order to prevent their accidental exposure to the public, they have not yet been distributed to the players. The new uniforms will be officially unveiled on Dec. 15

Evergrande staff and security have been quite satisfied with the reception that they have received so far. They have police escorts not only on trips to the training ground but also when players are out exploring the area.

The only inconvenience has been the lack of practice fields which require the team to practice on different fields each day. FIFA has explained that this is not being aimed at Evergrande or Coach Lippi and that all teams have the same issues.

Although teams can roster twenty-three players for the Club World Cup matches, Coach Lippi only brought twenty-two. Feng Renliang, who is just only able to jog will not participate in any matches.

It has been an intense season for Evergrande but the players have withstood its challenges. The lineup will not change from what it was in prior matches. Lippi can use either a double midfield attack or a three midfield attack. If it's a three midfield attack, Lippi will most likely go with Zhao Xuri, Huang Bowen and Zheng Lin.

Evergrande defense formation will remain the same with Sun Xiang, Zhang Lin, Jin Ying and Feng Xiaoting. The goalkeeper remains Zeng Cheng.
