A new video summarizing Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 10-minutes has been uploaded to refresh fans' memories of the foundation of the MCU.
YouTube user Jakub Ignarski created an impressive video that was featured by Comicbook.com . The special look back shows the foundation of the MCU before it became the studio juggernaut that we know it today.
After the release of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Ant-Man" on Blu-ray / DVD, the avid Marvel fan will hopefully have enough material (and time) to produce a Phase Two retrospective soon.
The studio started with a bang when "Iron Man" was released in 2008 starring Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, the famous billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist of the MCU. The movie kicked off a series of blockbuster superhero films which took Hollywood by storm.
"The Incredible Hulk" in 2008, "Iron Man 2" in 2010, "Thor" in 2011, and "Captain America: The First Avenger" in 2011 rounded up the roster of solo live-action adventures of Marvel Comics' superheroes, culminating in "The Avengers" in 2012 which closed the book of Phase One.
Aside from RDJ, we were introduced to some great actors portraying our favorite superheroes on the big screen including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Ed Norton (The Incredible Hulk) and Mark Ruffalo (Avengers) as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Don Cheadle as War Machine.
In 2013, Amazon.com offered a special limited edition "Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Collection" with 10 discs of Marvel movie goodness which included a top secret bonus disc.
With this summer's "Ant-Man" movie concluding Phase Two and next summer's "Captain America: Civil War" set to launch Phase Three into high gear, this 10-minute retrospective video on Phase One is a great way to admire Marvel's spectacular run from 2008-2012.
