Filipino sensations Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, aka "AlDub," will not appear on "The Ellen Show" anytime soon.
Just recently, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres was photographed with a signage that read, "I want AlDub on the Ellen Show."
However, it was recently confirmed that the photo was fake, and one avid fan of the onscreen couple made it.
According to Manila Times, the photo of DeGeneres holding the signage was edited from the original photo wherein the talk show host greeted singer/songwriter Sam Smith on "The Ellen Show."
After it was posted online, thousands of Filipino fans got onboard with the idea, and retweeted it thousands of times.
As of late, DeGeneres has not yet commented on the faux signage. However, some fans believe that AlDub appearing on "The Ellen Show" could also be a possibility in the next couple of months.
In recent years, DeGeneres has invited a handful of Filipino talents to appear on her show. One of which was singer Charice Pempengco. In fact, the singer appeared on "The Ellen Show" several times.
Additionally, DeGeneres is also well-known for inviting current sensations from all over the country. Whoever captured her attention on YouTube or other social media networks will be given airtime on the talk show.
Meanwhile, Richards and Mendoza currently appear in the first ever "Kalyeserye" in the Philippines, more specifically on "Eat Bulaga's" segment entitled "One For All."
As of late, Mendoza and Richards are receiving warm followings from their fans who have been supporting the love team and attending their segments live on national television.
